How it began….

Dustin Hiser, the owner behind Hiser Railroad Services began his railroad career as a track laborer building new crossings for Union Pacific in Laredo Texas. He immediately developed a passion for the rail industry and decided he wanted to pursue it as a life-long career. Over a decade later, he has experienced the rail industry from the ground up. He carried his experience with Union Pacific from the Class 1 to the short-line industry joining the Austin Western Railroad and the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad. It didn’t take long to understand the most valuable piece of any railroad is the customer and ensuring they are successful. It was through this understanding that Hiser Railroad Services was birthed. As a customer to a large railroad, you are often neglected regarding your needs and safety. In the event of an incident, the customer is always to blame and the railroad is never liable for any damages. And in most cases the customer has no leg to stand on because there is no record of inspections or maintenance within their facility. With years spent being on the railroad side of the coin, Dustin Hiser decided it was time for someone to protect the interests of the railroad customer. It is our goal here at HRS to protect you the customer from the big railroad. We provide monthly inspections, short and long term maintenance plans, official inspection documents, detailed reports of your property with specific information on your rail line, as well as consulting on design of rehab projects or new construction.
